"Muslim scholars' solidarity the only way to combat sectarianism"

Vice Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said:"Today, the only way for Muslims to combat religious sectarianism and discord caused by Islam's adversaries is that scholars from different Islamic sects sit together and hold dialogues."

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mousa Mousavi met with a group of Muslims scholars from Afghanistan in Tehran on Monday, May 15, ۲۰۱۷, in which he asserted, "In these high times of sectarianism and discord caused by the imperialist powers within the Muslim world, holding interfaith meetings between Muslim scholars and prominent religious figures is deemed absolutely essential."

Urging Muslim scholars to attend more talks and meetings regarding current issues in the Islamic world, the cleric added, "Attending such meetings to boost Islamic unity is considered as an act of worship."

Hujjat al-Islam Mousavi further continued, "Today, the only way for Muslims to combat religious sectarianism and discord caused by Islam's adversaries is that scholars from different Islamic sects sit together and hold dialogues. They need to increase their interactions."

"Since the victory of Islamic Revolution in 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always advocated the unity between Shia and Sunni Muslims and it's been proved during the last 38 years of Iran's history." Mousavi concluded.
